我就是我。 

在這個世界上，沒有一個人完全像我。 

有一些人某些部分像我，但沒有一個人完全和我一模一樣。 

所以，一切出自於我的都真真實實屬於我，因為那是我個人的選擇。

我擁有我的一切： 

我的身體，以及一切它的舉動； 

我的思想，以及所有的想法和意念； 

我的眼睛，以及一切看到的影像； 

我的感受，不論是什麼，憤怒、喜樂、挫折、愛、失望、興奮； 

我的嘴巴，和一切從口中所出的話語，溫文有禮的，

甜蜜的或粗魯的，對的或不對的； 

我的聲音，喧嚷的或輕柔的； 

還有我所有的行動，不論是對別人或對自己的。

我擁有我的幻想、我的夢想、我的希望和我的恐懼。 

我擁有我所有的勝利與成功、所有的失敗與錯誤。 

因為我擁有全部的我，我可以和自己成為親密熟悉的朋友。 

由於我能如此，所以我能愛自己，並且能夠友善地和我的每一部分友善的相處。 

那麼，我就可以使我整個人的運作狀態，帶給自己最大的幸福。

我知道自己有些地方讓我困惑，也有別的部分是我也不明白的。 

不過，只要我友善地愛我自己，我就能勇敢地、滿懷希望地尋求途徑來解決這些困惑，

並且尋求方法以期更瞭解自己。 

然而，不論我在在任何時刻，看起來、聽起來如何，不論我說什麼、做什麼，或想什麼、

感受什麼，這都是我。

這是真實的，而且代表了那個時刻我的狀況。 

稍後當我回想當時我是如何看起來、聽起來的樣子，自己所說的話和做過的事，

還有自己的想法和感受，有些可能已不再合適了。

我能夠摒棄那些不再合適的，而保留那些經過證明後合適的，

並且再創造一些新的來取代被我摒棄的那些。

我可以看、聽、感受、思考、說話和做事。 

我擁有生命中生活能力的工具、與別人親近和富有生產力，

並且能夠使我周圍的人事物呈現出意義和秩序。 

我擁有我自己，所以我能掌管我自己。 

我就是我自己，而且我很好。

Declaration of Self Esteem

I am me. 

In all the world, there is no one exactly like me. 

There are persons who have some parts like me, 

but no one adds up exactly like me.

Therefore, everything that comes out of me 

is authentically mine because I alone choose it. 

I own everything about me 

my body including everything it does; 

my mind including all its thoughts and ideas; 

my eyes including the images of all they behold; 

my feelings whatever they may be... 

anger, 

joy, 

frustration, 

love, 

disappointment, 

excitement 

my mouth and all the words that come out of it 

polite, 

sweet or rough, 

correct or incorrect; 

my voice  loud or soft. 

And all my actions, whether they be to others or to myself.

I own my fantasies, my dreams, my hopes, my fears. 

I own all my triumphs and successes, 

all my failures and mistakes. 

Because I own all of me I can become intimately acquainted with me. 

By doing so I can love me and be friendly with me in all parts. 

I can then make it possible for all of me to work in my best interests.

I know there are aspects about myself that puzzle me, 

and other aspects that I do not know. 

But as long as I am friendly and loving to myself, 

I can courageously and hopefully, look for solutions to the puzzles 

and for ways to find out more about me.

However I look and sound, whatever I say and do, and whatever I think

and feel at a given moment in time is me. 

This is authentic and represents where I am in that moment in time. 

When I review later how I looked and sounded, what I said and did, and how I

thought and felt, some parts may turn out to be unfitting. 

I can discard that which is unfitting, and keep that which proved fitting, 

And invent something new for that which I discarded.

I can see, hear, feel, think, say and do. 

I have the tools to survive, to be close to others, to be productive, 

and to make sense and order out of the world of people 

and things outside of me. 

I own me, and therefore I can engineer me.

I am me and I am okay.
